We are delighted to confirm that this year’s Dotty Days – otherwise known as Lewy body dementia awareness week – will take place from 6th-12th June.
It’s an extra special one this year as we are celebrating our 15th year as a charity, and we remain the only UK-based organisation focused solely on LBD.
There are lots of ways you can get involved with Dotty Days. The week is mainly about raising awareness, so by wearing lots of dots, perhaps with a Lewy Body Society badge or wristband, you can prompt conversations with friends and colleagues about the disease, and why you support our mission.
How you can get involved in Dotty Days:
- Buy your dotty pin badge or wristband from our online shop.
- Wear polka dots during the week, share pictures on social media and held spread the word about Lewy bodies.
- Host a virtual or in-person event such as a coffee morning or quiz, or take part in a sponsored challenge (that complies with current rules where you live). Contact us for a free fundraising pack.
As it is our 15th year as a charity, you could set yourself a sponsored challenge linked to the number 15, such as:
1️⃣5️⃣ lengths of the swimming pool
1️⃣5️⃣ laps of the park with your dog
1️⃣5️⃣ km run or walked (over the week if you need to)
Get in touch if you would like a fundraising pack, and don’t forget to send us some photos!
