November events now open for registration

We have two online events taking place in November, with some fascinating speakers.  They will both be taking place on Zoom and you can register now via Eventbrite.

Mild Cognitive Impairment
Monday 1st November, 11am

During the last year, Dementia United in Greater Manchester supported the commissioning of the Neurology Academy’s Mild Cognitive Impairment masterclass.

The Neurology Academy is an innovative educational provider with healthcare professionals including consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists, therapists and other allied health professionals.

This pilot course was designed to equip people with knowledge and motivation to carry out a service improvement project in the field of mild cognitive impairment and differential diagnosis.

Sleep difficulties and Lewy body dementia
Monday 15th November, 11am

Learning so far from the DREAMS START (Dementia related manual for sleep: Strategies for relatives) trial.

In this webinar we will discuss what we know about how to support people living with dementia and sleep difficulties and how this learning relates to those with Lewy body dementia. Dr Penny Rappaport will share information about a research trial she has run and the next steps, and Rachel Thompson will discuss how she supports families with sleep problems in her role as Consultant Admiral Nurse for Lewy body dementia.
