The NHS has launched new online information profiles that will help people to choose, compare and comment on care homes and other care services.

The new profiles, part of the NHS Choices website, will create the most definitive online source of information on care services, including:

Between the 18th and the 29th May, Brothers Paul and Chris Gardner are cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for the Lewy Body Society (a Registered Charity). Their father was diagnosed with the disease last year.

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Parkinson's Disease has launched an inquiry into NHS Continuing Care and is calling for evidence (deadline Friday 24 May 2013).

The Lewy Body Society will send in evidence from people affected by dementia with Lewy bodies and Parkinson's dementia.

Alzheimer Scotland’s Dementia Awareness Week conference, entitled Dementia Connections, on 3 June in Glasgow, provides a unique opportunity to hear how the integration agenda, a key priority for the Scottish Government, will impact on the lives of people with dementia, their carers, partners and families.

Some concessionary places are available for people with dementia and unpaid carers.
